Communicate is produced by The Natural History Consortium, a charity and collaboration of 13 organisations passionate about connecting people and nature. This year the event took place in Bristol, Manchester, and London as well as online.
The theme for 2025 was ‘Against the Odds’ - Together we face unprecedented challenges for the environment, our communication and engagement sector, our audiences and our organisations. Yet together, against the odds, environmental communicators continue to collaborate on innovative ways to connect people and nature – reaching across audiences, breaking down barriers, and amplifying a wide range of voices and actions for nature.
Communicate is the UK’s leading annual conference for environmental communicators. Running since 2004, it brings together a diverse group of delegates each year to develop their skills, share best practice and debate latest issues in science communication, nature conservation and engaging people with the natural world. It provides an opportunity to gain inspiration, work together on new initiatives, build networks and forge connections.
